Social Predestination
Thesis: There is no such thing as predestination. You make your own destiny.

In my utopia, “hard work pays off”, it will get you very far in life. People in this utopia have goals and dreams and one day, achieve those dreams and goals. Obviously when someone starts doing something for the first time, they start from the very beginning. As they through further in their lives, they may be able to climb up the social ladder through their hard work and accomplishments in the passed. There is no such thing as predestination because the people must make their own destiny to live for. Live cannot be planned out for anyone because sooner or later that vision of your life will change and now one knows what will happen in our near future.

In the world of Brave New World, social castes exist to keep track of the society and their economy. In my world, upper-class and middle-class will eventually end up existing, but not as extreme as separating in colours, or size just dividing them by their quality of life. I believe the stability will be quite beneficial because it is a lot easier to keep track of the people while trying to help motivate success in their lives.

Censorship:
Thesis: People are not robots.


I do not agree with censorship, because I want the people of my utopia to know the truth at all times. The use of censorship in the novel Brave New World uses a colossal amount of censorship in their world to the point of drug use to relieve them of their memories and thoughts. To say it is sickening for a woman to give birth or the thought of a family?! That is an utterly outrageous statement! It is fact and real and natural and no one is entitled to take that away. In my own utopia, I plan on leading my society with an open mind and realistic views to pass on to the people. “People are not robots” that other humans can just program or condition and I find that ridiculously unnecessary. Human beings have feelings and opinions that have a right to think and understand what is going on around them. Who are we to take that kind of freedom away from anyone else? The people of this world will have their own ideas, thoughts and opinions, and it keeps them healthy and productive in everyday life. The stability of this freedom may influence great changes for the greater good because then people will know the truth instead of it being burried under lies and fake promices and smiles.

Xenophobia- Explain the ways in which the citizen of yours society view or accept
Thesis: In my society, Xenophobia will not be viewed at all.

There will be people many immigrated and or emigrating in and out of the society, though the people of my utopia will never view new comers as outsiders. Just because there are many new people coming in from a variety of other places and cultures of the world, this does not make them any different from everyone else. "Discrimination on the basis of race, gender, age or disability is not allowed." Race, religion, or ethnic background does not judge a person by who they are, but it is their personality and character that makes the person who it is. In my world, racism, xenophobia and prejudice do not exist for it only creates problems and negativity instead of creating productivity and optimism. The stability of this rule, I believe this to be very beneficial to this society. Without hatred for others creates a bit more peace and a lot less war.

Family: how are families organized?
Thesis: Families consist of parents and children, who will live together under the same roof until children are eligible for college, university, army, and or workforce and may move out.

Families are going to be put together like they have always been. There will be such thing as parents. They will raise their own children in a loving manner. The point of having children is to love them, care for them, to carry on a generation. Abortion does not exist. Unprotected sex is a person's own fault. My society will be teaching a valuable lesson in responsibility "Take responsibility in your own actions." When the family is made, abuse will not be tolerated. Poor treatment towards children will result in a parent’s parenting privileges to be taken away FOREVER! If you do not like your child or your child does not like you, well, life is not meant to be easy. It is a parent’s own fault for having the child (children) in the first place. Families must work out their problems, either with the help of each other or a therapist.
I believe this system is stable because parents grow into becoming great parents through time. They should not expect to understand the system of parenting right away, but should maintain an effort in trying to keep a happy home.

Politics and Government: Explain the political situation and ideology. Why does this arrangement work/not work in your society?
Thesis: I believe democracy is a pretty stable type of government for the most part, though I do not believe that an ideal and perfect government exists.

In the notion of Abraham Lincoln’s idea “government of the people, by the people, for the people”
This way, the people have a feel that their voices are being heard and that they can make a difference because the government is being run by them through one, or a group of individuals. A world with democracy demands freedom and privilege, along with rights and responsibly. A voice of opinion is a beautiful gift because not many are given that privilege. Democracy is better than dictatorship because instead of one person's thought of mind, it takes a majority to truly get the point across. From the people's point of view, they know how things feel first hand after going through their days. Dictatorship; one person can only be in so many places at one time.
The stability will be well mannered because the people will be able to think, and help make decisions for the good of the community. A person cannot have a choice or an opinion because there is only one person and one reason that is condition to think about.

News Media:
Thesis: Sensationalism will not be encouraged.

There is freedom within the press. In my utopia, dealing with the media; freedom will only take you so far. Every time the world is facing an economic crisis, the media creates sensationalism within communities. Hollywood couples, environmental breakouts, and disease have all played a part in sensationalism, for example, Hurricane Katrina.
Though it was a very major physical and mental upset for the world, “Information or reports about recent events” had been shooting this story day after day, month after month as if it never stopped hitting.
The stability of this law will further improve the society because then people will may be able to look to the furture instead of living in the past. In this day and age, children have been exposed to too much sorrow and explicit content that showing the public the real truth behind the scenes should not hurt too much. An example of this would be war, to show people that war is not only honour and glory. It is a brutal and gory which many take pride, courage and patience to finish. In the perfect world of mine, I do not believe it is right for media to encourage news like this. Therefore, news will be broadcasted within one week. No further updates mean it is time to move on, on air.

Gender Roles:
Thesis: In the society of my utopia, I believe that we have a stable way of maintaining equality between both sexes.
We have handled the issue of employment between genders. It is a great idea to allow males to be paid a little bit more when it comes to an occupation with a majority of females. For example, men will be given the opportunity to be paid a little bit more than women in the nursing field to change the views of how woman are being viewed themselves. Just as well, woman will be given an equal opportunity to make a little more money then males when it comes to an occupation with a majority of males. For example, the engineering field is quite vast. Although it may have many variations of that type of fields, there are a low percentage of female engineers. Woman will be given the opportunity to be paid more than males if they choose to go into this type of field. "Discrimination on the basis of race, gender, age or disability is not allowed." It is unfair to assume one sex is greater than the other because there are many characteristics that one gender may be better in than the other, but even then there is always those acceptions in each field when one person can beat the majority of that gender. for example, women body builders. I beleive this system is very stable because there are both opportunites of acceptence for each gender.

Drugs: How are drugs used/conditioned/prohibited in your society?

Thesis: Drugs are some of the most dangerous actions anyone can do to themselves.

In my utopia, only prescribed drugs will be allowed. Other forms of drugs may be used ONLY for the use of medical research. I believe in keeping a healthy society. Part of the many ways of keeping that stability of this world is to keep people away from the things that can potentially harm them dramatically. The sensational feelings of drugs are short lived and the harsh reality soon comes back into view. As the person feels effects of the drugs, the user soon runs out of the money to pay for their poisonous addiction, and begin facing the pain of withdrawal. As this pain continues, the loved ones around them are hurt in various ways, sometimes ending in the pain of losing a loved one. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." This quote about is not very accurate. Drug use may not kill you right away, but the people who do use drugs will slowly feel the pain of having to know that death is not too far away.

Marriage Customs:
Thesis: Marriage is a symbol of eternal happiness.

Marriage “a legally accepted relationship between a woman and a man in which they live as husband and wife, or the official ceremony.”
I believe it is only natural to allow people to be married. Although, in the Utopia I imagine, I will not allow any divorces. A marriage is supposed to be a beautiful thing. Marriage is a way for two people who are truly happy and in love, to show their love for one another. A marriage should never be taken for granted. A divorce only tells the world that two people have just lied to each other; they have gone back on their promises. Not only does divorce breakup a relationship between couples, but also between parents and their children. I for one cannot take dishonesty very lightly. Once people begin to lose the love between them and split apart that marriage, it is my law that they may never be with anyone else!Marriage is a symbol of the infinite love between couples. Therefore I believe love deserves its own special day, for their love to give them that very same feeling of happiness with them forever.
